A Chinese spy ship left Sri Lanka

Colombo: The controversial Chinese spy ship left the Sri Lankan port yesterday as scheduled. The news that the Chinese spy ship ‘Yuan Wang 5’ with ultra-modern satellite surveillance facilities will stop at Sri Lanka’s Ampantotta port from August 16 to 22 has caused a lot of controversy.

Sri Lanka allowed a Chinese spy ship to dock at Ambandotta port, ignoring India’s plea for help at a time of severe economic crisis. Initially, the ship, which was notified to stop 650 km from the sea boundary, was later given permission to stop at the port.

When India said that there was a threat to the country’s military and security, China replied that the ship was not stationed at Ambandotta port to spy on any country. In this case, after 6 days as planned, the Chinese spy ship left Ambandotta port in Sri Lanka for Jiang Yin port in China yesterday.
