Now it’s official. Manchester United announced this evening (Monday) one of the biggest transfers of the summer, when they signed the back midfielder of the Brazil national team and Real Madrid in recent years, Casemiro, on a four-year contract with an option for another season.
After signing, Casmiro Said: “I’ve worked with a lot of great coaches in my career, and after meeting Erik ten Haag and hearing his ideas, I can’t wait to work with him, his team and my new teammates. Everyone knows the history of United, the meaning of the club around the world and what it means for the fans. Representing United is an honor and I will give everything to help the team meet its goals. He added: “I’m ending a great journey in Madrid, while I’m starting another in Manchester, determined to win, win titles and make our fans proud by bringing success to this great club.” Red Devils coach, Eric Ten the brothersaid: “He cemented between our bricks, that’s exactly what we were looking for in the summer.”
This is definitely one of the most significant transfers of the summer and United, who were thirsty for a midfielder, got what they wanted with the addition of the veteran midfielder, who won the Champions League five times with the Blancos and three championships in Spain. Casemiro arrived in Madrid from Sao Paulo in the summer of 2013 and over the years became one of the best midfielders in the world. The Brazilian played 336 games in Madrid in which he scored 31 goals and added 29 assists.
He made his debut in the Brazilian national team at the age of 19 and since then participated in 63 games and scored five goals. The player cost Real a total of 13.4 million euros, so they earned at least 57 million euros and 18 more titles. The arrival of Erik ten Haag and their addition Lisandro Martins, Tyrell Malasia and Christian Eriksen have not been enough so far for the Red Devils who started the season disappointingly. With the addition of one of the impressive acquisition players that landed in the team in recent years, Ten Haah will try to take the club on a new path.
