The soundtracks that are known to the whole world, which have had a direct relation to the success of many films, will be revived next week by the Basque Orchestra in the Kursaal of Donostia, ‘¡De película!’ in the performance The session that will begin on Thursday, September 1, at 8:00 p.m., will be more than a concert. It has been presented as a “film-music show” aimed at audiences of all ages, which “plays with elements that are ‘invisible’ in every film projection”; with music and character voices.

To this end, the Orchestra will be joined by dubbing actors Jordi Brau and Luis Posada on stage, while images of the most popular films of recent decades are seen and music is heard. ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’, ‘Titanic’, ‘The Devil’s Doll’, ‘The Mask’, ‘The King’s Speech’, ‘Life is Beautiful’ and many more. The two actors will voice characters such as Jack Sparrow, Forrest Gump, George VI and Chucky and will bring a lot of authenticity to this exciting movie concert.

“There we will meet Captain Jack Sparrow – by then he will be anchored in his ‘Black Pearl’ Shell – we will sit on a bench next to Forrest Gump with his candy box in his hands, and Mrs. We will capture Doubtfire in fragrance, with a meringue face mask”, they announced when announcing the concert. Jordi Brau is the voice actor of Sean Penn, Nicolas Cage, Kenneth Branagh, Dennis Quaid, Robin Williams, Tom Cruise, Daniel Day-Lewis, Roberto Benigni and Tom Hanks, among others. On the other hand, the voice of Luis Posada is interpreted by the actors Johnny Depp, Jim Carrey, Adrien Brody, John Cusack or Leonardo Di Caprio. The speech will be in Spanish, with Basque subtitles. The general rate is 25 euros, and the reduction for subscribers is 20 euros, with the possibility of buying a maximum of two tickets.

The project was created by the Valles Symphony Orchestra, with a script written to accompany it, and has been a great success in all the concert halls where it has already been presented. Now the Euskadi Orchestra will take on this original and different concert format for this unique appointment that will take place in Donostia on September 1st. The concert will be led by Ruben Gimeno, director of EGO (Basque Country Youth Orchestra) and will be supported by Laboral Kutxa.
