Leaders of South American airlines will be part of the CAPA Americas Aviation Summit that will take place on August 25 and 26 in Salvador, Brazil. At the moment, CAPA announced the participation of Azul, Gol, Latam, Avianca, Fybondi and Ultra Air.

There will be hundreds of participants from different countries, including high-profile executives, leaders and experts in aviation and transportation, suppliers and airport representatives, among others.

The confirmed executives are: Andrés Muñoz, Manager of Environmental Management of Avianca; Azul CEO John Rodgerson; Abhi Shah, senior network planning manager for Azul; Vitor Silva, CEO of Flybondi; Mauricio Sana, Network Planning Leader at Flybondi.

Likewise, Victoria Lasarte, CEO of Gol; Celso Ferrer, Gol director of alliances, distribution and industrial affairs; Randall Saenz Agüero, director of planning and programming for Gol’s networks; Rafael Araujo, CEO of Latam Airlines Brazil; Jerome Cadier, director of sales and marketing for Latam and William Shaw, CEO of Ultra Air.

Among the issues to be discussed is the status of the reopening of the border; associations and consolidation; the role of sustainability and clean fuel in the future of air travel in Latin America; an airline workshop on new sales, distribution and retail strategies; an aircraft review as Latin airlines strengthen their fleets; a look at the new entrants hoping to succeed in 2022/23; LCC vs FSC network planning strategies; and an in-depth look at the airport industry, CAPA reports.

as reported REPORTUR.co, South American airlines are facing several challenges that impact the entire industry globally. Due to the high operating costs due to the inflation that Colombia is experiencing, added to the price of fuel, Latam, Avianca, Easyfly and Viva have suspended routes with low demand, which does not allow them to be profitable. (Latam, Avianca, Easyfly and Viva suspend routes due to fuel prices).
