An incident took place in the morning when many officials traveling from Jaffna to Kilinochchi got down at the Palai railway station and ran away.

As usual, some of the officials who traveled to Kilinochchi in the Jaffna Rani train did not get their tickets.
Even though it is a very low fare, they have traveled without getting it.
But when the officials of the Railway Department, who are checking the tickets today, conducted checks on the passengers, it was found that some people were traveling without tickets and they were charged with fares and fines.
Along with this, the people who got tickets for third class and traveled in second class have also been warned.
In this case, a senior official said that some other people who were traveling to Kilinochchi got down at Palai railway station in the middle before the inspection by Railway Department officials.
