The rumors were true: this evening (Wed) Apple sent its official invitations to one of the main launch events of the year, which will take place on September 7. And it’s not just another announcement event. So what awaits us? Really not just iPhones.

Back to Normal

The September announcement event will be titled “Far Out”, and will once again take place from the Steve Jobs Hall. And you know what that means – for the first time since the start of the Corona epidemic, Apple’s announcement event will be in the presence of a live audience on Apple Campus. Obviously, as in every Apple announcement event in September-October, the iPhone 14 models are going to grab most of the headlines, when the company is expected to present 4 different models, but in practice also get rid of the iPhone Mini that we personally quite liked, but apparently we are quite alone.

In the procedure, we will see an iPhone 14 model with a 6.1-inch screen, an iPhone 14 Pro model with a 6.1-inch screen, but then the twists will come, because we will probably also receive an iPhone 14 model with a 6.7-inch screen (which may be called Plus or Max according to Apple’s branding ), and the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max model. We can’t wait to hear Apple executives read all the models in sequence.

As usual, Apple keeps most of the announcements secret, but according to some rumors, it may finally get rid of the giant notch that refused to leave us since iPhone X in favor of a design that reminds a bit of the Galaxy S10 Plus, and will also contain a dedicated hole for the selfie camera (Hole Punch) And also cutting in the form of a pill in favor of the Face ID system that remains with us. However, this change will likely be reserved for the pro models. Another change that will come to the more expensive and sophisticated models is the Always On display which will finally allow you to see the clock, notifications and probably also widgets without turning on the display. The camera setup is also expected to get an upgrade to a 48MP sensor. However, we wonder if the title of the event, Far Out, indicates that Apple is finally going to upgrade its telephoto capabilities a bit.

Apart from the new iPhones, it is likely that Apple will also launch a new Apple Watch, with the Apple Watch Series 8 expected to come with a body temperature sensor that might help you get sick days easily (but in practice will probably help more with more accurate sleep monitoring). Apparently, we will also see a slightly more updated Apple Watch SE, and perhaps another watch with a larger screen and longer battery life, which is mainly intended for athletes.

According to some rumors, we might also see new iPads and maybe even new AirPods Pro headphones – and yet, we’re all still waiting for the launch of the Mac Pro with the company’s M processors. This is definitely the last Mac from Apple that didn’t receive the treatment of home-made processors (if you don’t count the 27-inch iMac), and although we don’t expect it to be unveiled at such a busy event, anything is possible.

We will of course be with you live, and we will report on all the new devices together with the announcement, so if somehow you are not yet following our Telegram channel – now is the time.
