MA Yousafali, a prominent businessman and chairman of Lulu Group, owns the famous H145 Airbus helicopter among the world’s most luxurious travel helicopters. Yousafali’s new helicopter took off in Kochi. The helicopter, which has been designed with modernity, technical excellence and many safety features, is from the Airbus company of Germany. MA Yousafali owns the H 145 helicopter of which only 1500 have landed in the world.
H145 design features
The H145 helicopter has four leaves. One of the features. Another feature is that apart from two captains, seven passengers can travel at the same time. Two Safran HE Ariel 2C2 turbo shaft engines delivering 785 kW of power. It will travel at a speed of about 246 km per hour. The specialty is the ability to fly up to 20000 feet above sea level. The helicopter is emblazoned with the Lulu Group logo in green and Y, the initials of Yousafali’s name.
On April 11, 2021, the helicopter carrying Lulu Group Chairman MA Yousafali and his family landed in a swamp in Kochi. On that day, the helicopter was on its way to the theater via Lake Shore Hospital when the accident happened. Apart from the two pilots, there were four passengers including MA Yousafali and his wife in the helicopter. They miraculously escaped. It was the VT-YMA helicopter of the Italian-made company AgustaWestland that had an accident that day.
