Daughter poisoned her mother to death in Keeshur, Kunnamkulam, Thrissur. Chandran’s wife Rugmini (58) died at home in Keezhur Chuzhiyat.
In the incident, daughter Indulekha was taken into police custody. It is reported that Indulekha’s mother, who has a financial burden of lakhs, was killed and the property was taken over and sold to settle the financial loss. Rugmini died last Monday. The police have registered a case of common death in the incident. The body was found to be poisonous after the doctors conducted an examination after the death was found to be unnatural. With this, it was confirmed that daughter Indulekha had administered the poison when the people who were in the house were called and questioned.
He was killed with rat poison. Rugmini was admitted to the Kunnamkulam taluka hospital on the last 18th as she had ingested poison. He was then shifted to a private hospital in Thrissur for specialist treatment. The presence of rat poison was found in the test conducted here. Rugmani died on 22nd. Poisoning was confirmed at post-mortem. The turning point came when father Chandran testified that he suspected that his daughter had given the poison. Indulekha’s arrest will be recorded tomorrow.
