YouTube channel with abusive comment against journalist; The police arrested the admin within a week of filing the complaint
Thiruvananthapuram: Police have taken action against the administrator of a YouTube channel who is working with abusive comments against journalists.
The cyber police took action within a week on the complaint of journalist Lakshmi Padma of Asianet News. Lakshmi Padma herself announced this in a Facebook post titled ‘Congratulations to Cyber Police’.
‘About a year ago I noticed a YouTube channel using my videos called Beauty Cuts. Many very abusive comments have been seen under it. For so long, I have taken the approach that there is no time to walk behind anything.
That reluctance has once again become a breeding ground for cybercriminals. Most recently, another channel came into the limelight two weeks ago for uploading more than 140 videos in which the admin himself made comments full of obscenities and slurs and incited viewers to do the same.
He took the URL of both the channels and lodged a complaint with the cyber police. Within a week, the cyber police arrested the accused who was the administrator of the first channel and brought him before him. The boy is a graduate.
The party targeted revenue through YouTube. The decision is to continue legal proceedings. I hope that the second one will come before me soon and stand like this. My heartiest greetings to the cyber police team,’ wrote Lakshmi Padma.
