Berlin / Istanbul – After massive criticism, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is moderating his appearance in the ambassadorial dispute with the West. Erdogan said on Monday, according to the Anadolu news agency, that he welcomed the declaration by Western embassies on compliance with the diplomatic treaty. It was initially unclear whether the announced expulsion of ten ambassadors is off the table. Erdoğan had previously received a lot of criticism for his actions in his own country.
