Suicide of a Saint-Avold police officer in 2018: two ex-colleagues sentenced for putting a bug in his car

They had been released on October 21, 2019 by the Sarreguemines criminal court in the case of the suicide of a police officer from Saint-Avold (Moselle). This sensitive affair has just rebounded. According to our information, these two former police officers from Saint-Avold, retried after an appeal by the prosecution, were sentenced on August 16 by the Metz Court of Appeal to a suspended prison sentence (8 and 10 months) for “undermining intimacy of private life by capturing, recording or transmitting a person’s words”.
