So far 4 people have been arrested in the Sonali Bogat death case.
Haryana senior BJP leader and actress Sonali Phogat (42) went on a trip to Goa on the 22nd. The next day he died mysteriously. Sonali Phogat was initially reported to have died of a heart attack. However, her family leveled allegations that Sonali’s death was mysterious. The Goa police are conducting intensive investigation on the suspicion that he may have been murdered.
In a follow-up investigation, actress Sonali, her assistants Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhwinder Singh were eating together at a club in Goa. Then the police got CCTV footage of them forcing Sonali to drink a cold drink. Sonali’s assistants Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhwinder Singh admitted that they had mixed the drug in the soft drink. Police also seized drug paraphernalia from the club’s restroom. Following this, Sonali’s assistants Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhwinder Singh have been arrested and brought to the interrogation ring.
In this case, the owner has been arrested as drugs have been seized from the club. The nature of the seized drug is yet to be confirmed,” the Goa Police said. Sonali has been sent for laboratory testing to ascertain the potency of the drug administered.
So far 4 people have been arrested in the Sonali Bogat death case. Earlier, Sonali Phogat’s post-mortem examination revealed multiple injuries on her body. This has strengthened the suspicion that Sonali Phogat may have been murdered. The police are also investigating whether Sonali was subjected to sexual violence.
