The number of victims of the explosion in a residential building in Naberezhnye Chelny increased to five. This was reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Health of Tatarstan. A gas explosion occurred the night before on the last two floors of a five-story building. The cause was a gas leak. According to the latest data from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, six apartments were destroyed, in which 14 people lived.
“As of 7 am on October 26, five people were injured,” the press service said.
According to the Ministry of Health, another victim of 1973 went to the emergency department of the emergency hospital in Naberezhnye Chelny on her own. After carrying out medical and diagnostic measures, the woman was released for outpatient treatment.
Now three people remain in hospitals: a child born in 2004 and a man born in 1951 are in a serious condition at the emergency hospital in Naberezhnye Chelny. The child born in 2010 was transferred to the Kama Children’s Medical Center in Naberezhnye Chelny. Another victim, born in 1999, also died in the hospital.
On this fact, the investigators opened a criminal case under Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (performance of work or provision of services that do not meet the requirements of the safety of life or health of consumers).
