A construction crane collapsed in Khabarovsk. As a result of the incident, one person died, another is in serious condition – he was hospitalized. This was announced on October 26 by the prosecutor’s office of the Khabarovsk Territory.
“At about 5.30 pm on October 26, 2021, during the construction work at the capital construction facility” Clinic for children in the Pribrezhny microdistrict, Khabarovsk “, a construction crane collapsed,” the regional prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
A prosecutor’s check is being carried out. After its completion, an assessment will be made of the implementation of legislation in the field of labor protection, compliance with safety measures.
Earlier, on August 17, the Investigative Committee of the Nizhny Novgorod region opened a criminal case into the death of a crane operator at a construction site in the regional center. According to investigators, a 50-year-old woman fell from a tower crane while working on it. She received various injuries from which she died on the spot.
A criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of Art. 216 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Violation of safety rules during construction work, resulting in the death of a person by negligence.”
