The Department of Agriculture has advised the respective District Joint Directors of Agriculture to pay more attention to such villages and increase cultivation propagation.

An agricultural official who did not wish to be named said: In Kanchipuram district, out of total 430 agricultural villages, 65 villages have not benefited from the agricultural schemes. The reason is that there is no arable land in those villages. In such villages, the government should take alternative measures to increase the value of agricultural produce and sell it.

Similarly, we are going to increase the cultivation area by selecting the beneficiaries under the All Village Agriculture Development Scheme in the villages which are not benefited all over Tamil Nadu.
