The GECOS program supports the IT infrastructure, cyber security, applications and services related to the information network of the Army National Guard Department. This organizational network, one of the largest in the country in the Ministry of Defense, provides soldiers with Internet access, allows them to securely connect to databases and other networks, and provides commanders with tools for training, mission planning and execution.

The network supports more than 124,000 users in 3,000 locations in all US states, the territories outside the US and the District of Columbia.

According to its announcement, General Dynamics will provide the Army National Guard with an integrated network and security operations center. From this site, the company will operate, maintain and secure the corporate network, both in classified and unclassified environments, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
