This Saturday afternoon there was a new electrical emergency in the Santiago Metro, which led to the entire line 2 being closed, from the Vespucio Norte to La Cisterna stations.
“Remember that #L2 remains closed due to an energization problem. Our technical teams are working. We will continue to report” said the transport company via Twitter.
Meanwhile, different bus routes are supporting the routes covered by the underground train. It should be noted that no combination station with line 2 is available.
The problem occurred from about 6 pm. Due to the same, there is a significant delay in the service of other lines of the network, which has caused a great jamming of people on the platforms.
Twitter users showed their annoyance at the mishap that kept thousands of people trapped inside the cars, without the possibility of descending for at least an hour.
As evidenced in videos recorded by the passengers, it can be seen how the lights go out inside the cars, which caused the terror of those present. Some even had to break the window of a car to escape.
