Japan has decided to invest Rs 2.39 lakh crore for the development of African countries

The 8th Tokyo International Conference on African Development will be held in Tunisia from August 25 to 29. Japanese Prime Minister Bumio Kishida participated and addressed online.

As he spoke, the Japanese government is paying great attention to the areas of investment in human resources and quality for development. Therefore, we have decided to invest Rs. 2.39 lakh crore in the next 3 years for the development of African countries jointly with the Japanese government and businessmen.

Africa is a young, optimistic and diverse continent. Prime Minister Kishida has said that Japan wants to become an ally to develop together with Africa.

As part of the financial investment, Rs 31,980 crore will be spent on development of green technologies. A fund of Rs 39,980 crore will be spent on reforms to bring African countries out of debt.

In support of start-ups, the fund will also be used to train 3 lakh people to become experts in the fields of industry, healthcare, education and agriculture, he said.

He also said that a loan of Rs 2,399 crore will be given to strengthen the food production program of African countries.
