Villupuram: A petition has been submitted to the collector’s office asking that government suburban buses should pick up and drop off passengers at Vikravandi. The petition given by Selvaraj, president of the Tamil Nadu Farmers Association, Villupuram North District: Hundreds of people visit government offices, courts and hospitals in Vikravandi every day. Conductors do not allow people from Vikravandi area to board the government suburban buses from Villupuram to Chennai and from Chennai to Villupuram. Due to this, the people of Vikravandi area are suffering. Therefore, steps should be taken to pick up and drop the people of Vikravandi area in the suburban buses. This is stated in the petition.
