Bengaluru: The 10th edition of South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA), South India’s biggest film award show, will be held in Bengaluru. It will be held on September 10 and 11. The distinction of being the first multilingual awards ceremony to be held in the city of Bengaluru makes it even more attractive. At this event, the South Indian film industry will be honored with the 2021 Outstanding Performances in the Arts and Crafts category.

In a press conference, SAIMA Chairperson Mrs. Brenda Prasad said that the main idea of SAIMA is to bring all the 4 South Indian film industries together under one roof. Actors would get to know each other and watch other actors’ films, but there was no common platform for all filmmakers to meet, renew acquaintances and share friendships. Today, like a wedding every year, the entire South Indian film industry comes together as a family at the Saima Awards show. Brenda Prasad added that they are very happy to be able to prepare this Sangam and to be able to conduct it smoothly.

Started in 2012, SAIMA has now completed 10 long years of organizing several exhibitions in international centers like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Doha, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore showcasing the artistic skills of South Indian film talents. Apart from India, Saima is an award show that has attracted South Indian film lovers and audiences alike abroad.

Renowned actor Rana Daggubati said that he has been very happy to collaborate with Saima for years. Saima has played an important role in bringing the entire South Indian film industry under one roof and making it run as one without any differences for the last 10 years. Ground sponsor Confident Group’s Dr CJ Roy described Rana as his favorite hero in Baahubali. He added in his words that SAIMA is an extension of a family association rather than a sponsorship. Sayma-Dr.C.J.Roy said that in her youth, she used to watch movies in all languages, and this is an extension of her admiration and passion for multilingualism and cinema.
