The factories were renewed, investments were made in the infrastructure and changes were made in the production processes and quality control.

The Strauss company is happy to announce that its factories in the Galilee landscape are gradually returning to production after thorough cleanings carried out in the factory and a significant investment in infrastructure at the two production sites that are responsible for the production of Elite sweets.

The company resumed production after thorough cleaning processes and extensive infrastructure investments, as well as adjustments in the production processes and quality control in both factories. The company is increasing the scope of quality tests on all raw materials, production batches and the work environment, in order to ensure compliance with a high standard of quality and food safety. The company states that the candy factories in the Galilee landscape are returning to production, after receiving the necessary production approval from the Ministry of Health for the gradual activation of the production lines at the factory. The return to full production will be done in coordination with the Ministry of Health and will take several months.

The first products to return with the reactivation of the production lines will be the brands: Epiphia, and abortions, these products will gradually return to the shelves in the coming weeks after accumulating sufficient inventory for marketing. The other well-known brands are expected to gradually return to the shelves.

During the last period, outsourced production was increased in factories in Israel and abroad in order to supply some of the products sooner. Among other things, this concerns the production of dark cow chocolate and chocolate Splendid which are now produced in factories in France and Belgium that specialize in chocolate production.

The CEO of Strauss Israel Eyal Dror said: “We renewed the two Elite factories in the Galilee landscape and we are returning to production, after strengthening and strengthening the management and quality control processes, so that we can ensure that all products are safe for consumption. Following many inquiries we received, the first production of some of the products is expected to be gluten-free.

I would like to thank the hundreds of people who assisted in the works to return the factories to work. In the coming weeks, we will focus on a gradual activation of the production lines under strict control, and when we finish accumulating sufficient stocks, we will start marketing the products.”
