MPs asked the government to solve the problem of rising prices for national projects due to rising prices

by time news

The rise in prices for metals and building materials led to an increase in the cost of co-financing for the implementation of national projects, so the State Duma Committee on Budget and Taxes asked the government about ways to solve this problem. This was announced by the head of the committee, Andrei Makarov. According to Rosstat, construction materials have risen in price by more than 20% since the beginning of the year.

“Prices for metal have increased, prices for materials have increased, projects that are being built in the regions – either already signed contracts, or have to be concluded, but with old documentation – and there is, say, even for national projects a share of co-financing. It is clear that this does not correspond in any way, ”said Mr Makarov at a committee meeting (quoted from Interfax).

He said that earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government to identify the risks of non-implementation of the construction of such facilities and submit their proposals. “There is an assignment. So far, unfortunately, we do not see it, and we certainly must take this into account when formulating the budget. We ask that they give us information about how they see these risks, and most importantly – not only risks, but how we see ways of solving them, ”added the head of the committee.

Earlier, the Ministry of Economy proposed to differentiate the approach to the formation of prices for construction government contracts by indexing the cost of the most expensive building materials based on actual inflation. Market participants supported the idea, as it will minimize the losses of contractors. However, as Kommersant wrote, this approach still does not provide full accounting of market prices in government contracts.
