The 57th annual celebration of the North Chennai Shastri Nagar Holy Mother Shrine will begin on Monday (Aug 29) evening with the flag hoisting ceremony and Thiruth Bhavani.
Coming Sep. The main event of this 11-day festival from 8 to 11 is the flag hoisting on the first day, Monday at 6 pm, and the holy Mother of Health Bhavani at Thiruther.
In this, Chennai Mailai Catholic Missionary District Pastor Stanley Sebastian and Kumbakonam Agnespuram Priest Adhikalasamy are participating and conducting a special Mass.
Sep. On the 4th, Thampuri Diocese Father Lawrence Pius participates and conducts Thobhavani and Tirupali.
GKM Colony Pastor L.A. on Wednesday 7th at 6 pm. Kariadaraj conducts the Thobhavani Tirupali in which the Mother is crowned with bells in attendance. After that, a Catholic performance by the film background music band Kana Bala takes place.
On the closing day 8th at 4.30 pm flag hoisting ceremony, Tho Bhavani will take place. It is conducted by George Anthonysamy, Archbishop of Mylai Uyar Diocese, Chennai.
The arrangements for the festival are being made by the parish priest M.L. Pete Gerald, assistant parish priest RA Pakhyam and others.
