BoThe past few days have not been a good time for Hollywood films. The boycott call against the films is getting stronger. After Aamir Khan’s Lal Singh Chadha and Akshay Kumar’s Rakshabandhan, Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra is getting boycott calls.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will hit the theaters on September 9. When the promotion of the film is actively going on, there are calls for boycott against the film.
In 2011, Ranbir Kapoor talked about beef and the reason for boycotting the film which is going to release in 2022. A boycott call is being made against the film by circulating a video in which only the actor’s words about his favorite food have been edited.
In 2011, the actor spoke about his interest in beef in an interview given as part of the promotion of the Imtiaz Ali-directed film Rockstar. This angered a section of people.
Some say that a regular meat/beef eater is not eligible to play the character of Lord Shiva and is against the Hindu faith. The boycott campaign against the film is gaining momentum on Twitter.
