Sunflower Lanyard for Invisible Restrictions

by time news

By wearing means with the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower, people with an invisible disability such as autism, Alzheimer’s, dementia and PTSD, but also Long Covid or a stoma, etc. can make their disability visible so that staff from, for example, a hospital, a store or other public agency to adapt their actions accordingly.

Since its launch in 2016, it has now been used worldwide by major airports, among others. In the UK, many supermarkets, train and bus stations, leisure facilities, the National Health Service, a number of fire and ambulance services and a growing number of large and small businesses and organizations have joined.
From the beginning of 2021, Hidden Disabilities Sunflower is now also in the Netherlands and Belgium, the first location on the European mainland. Denmark is now also participating, where, for example, all pharmacists are connected.

Hospitals can now register for free. They can then access animation videos for staff and other facilities, such as listing them on the location map so that patients can see whether a hospital recognizes or recognizes the lanyard.

The Sunflower is now recognized at 550 locations by 127 companies and institutions. At the moment 21000 people wear the keycord and the number of wearers and participants is growing fast.
