Colombo – A case has been filed against 8 people who ran restaurants unqualified to prepare food suitable for human consumption in an inspection conducted on the restaurants in the Fort Municipal Health Officer’s Division.
On the last 28th, this test has been carried out on about 30 restaurants. Meanwhile, the health authorities found cat faeces in the kitchen of a popular restaurant in Rajagiriya and took steps to file a case against the restaurant.
During the inspection, health officials observed that meat and fish were stored in refrigerators along with cooked food in some shops. The owners of the above eight dishes are Colombo Aluthkadai
and have been produced in the Gangodavila court. It is noteworthy that a fine of 82,500 rupees has been imposed on each of these restaurant owners.
