Evri Lider managed to surprise us with a new single called “Only in happiness”, which sums up the wedding season nicely. After an exciting musical collaboration with Jordi, Ron Beaton, and Itai Shimoni told Iris Cole on radio 103fm about the meaning behind the phrase “Only in happiness”, the natural connection with Jordi, and also: how did he receive his engagement proposal from his partner?
First and foremost, Lider tried to analyze the meaning of the sentence only in joys, saying: “We try to think about everything surrounding the phrase ‘only in joys.’ I’m no longer sure that this thing is only Israeli, it’s a matter that happens in large parts of the world.”
As for the marriage proposal, Lider shared: “There was a ring that I wear for a long time, and the lockchain was at the King David Hotel in Jerusalem. It’s my favorite hotel. To be honest, I was surprised, it was surprising. We sometimes joke that yes, we will look for a very, very, excessive place. Let’s say, there is in the south A hall like Troy. In the new single, Lider decided to collaborate with Jordi, and told about their relationship. “This is the first time we’ve worked together. We’ve been talking about it since 2016. The way he came into our lives, I was very enthusiastic about his talent and him, and I always made sure to tell him that. When he would release something that stole my heart, I’d tell him he was a genius, and he’d suggest we do something together. We’re both a bit busy people, and somehow it didn’t happen. The days passed, and then in the last six months we said ‘enough is enough now we’re doing. Here’s the diary, let’s decide’. Jordi’s studio is in Kiryat, and when you go there it’s like going on a pilgrimage.” Leder admitted, “There is a really special atmosphere in this studio. We sat four people and sitting there is completely egoless, very fun.”
At the end, he referred to Static and Ben Al’s decision to break up their musical relationship, saying: “I think it’s natural. These things have their own energy, and they lasted a very long time, and did beautiful and successful things.”
