Paris: “the child king” of the scam steals 61,000 euros from the cash register of Printemps Haussmann

Scam at the heart of a venerable business institution. Maxime, a 31-year-old repeat offender, appeared on Monday before the Paris Criminal Court for having defrauded Printemps Haussmann, in 2018 in Paris, up to 61,000 euros. The prosecutor requested a four-year prison sentence, three of which were suspended, against the 30-year-old and eight months suspended against his mother suspected of concealment. “He is a child king who lives very well with other people’s money”, judges the magistrate.
