The social network Twitter has announced that the Circle of Twitter, a new platform format that allows you to tweet content aimed at a smaller group of users and followers.

The company presented this tool in May, which allows users to share your posts only with your closest circlewith the aim of maintaining greater intimacy in the conversations and with the certainty that they could not be ‘retweeted’ or shared.

With this novelty, Twitter seeks to make users feel more comfortable when tweeting and expressing themselves, eliminating the need to have alternate or secondary accounts and avoid toggling between protected and public account settings.

Initially, it made the Circle available to a group of selected users, to carry out user tests, whose response was “extremely positive” as indicated by Twitter in a statement sent to Europa Press.

After initial tests, the company warned that with the use of the Circle more content was tweeted and there was an increase in the rate of interaction in the tweets of this space, in relation to the ‘likes’ and the responses to these publications.

Now, it has announced that this feature It is now available in Spain and that both iOS and Android device users can access it. It is also available in the web version of the service.

Users can then either post content as usual or choose the ‘Circle’ option. In this space you can add up to 150 people, a list that can be modified at any time. The changes implemented in it will not be notified to the members of the circle.

Tweets sent to these exclusive contacts will appear on the screen with a green badge and the answers they get are private, regardless of whether the user’s account is public.

It should also be noted that it is only possible to create a single Circle and that the members who are part of it will not be able to know who else is integrated into this channel. However, they will be able to see the interactions of other users. This will not be possible in the case of protected accounts.

The users of a Circle have different options in case they do not want to know the news that this offers. For example, if they unfollow the user who included you in this space, they will no longer be able to access these exclusive posts.

The same happens in case of blocking the creator of the Circle. Likewise, the notifications derivatives of this can be avoided, silencing the author or the conversation within it.

New features

This has not been the only function that Twitter has launched in recent months, since it is currently focusing its efforts on giving users “more and more ways to personalize your experience on the platform”, according to the writing.

Among some of the recently developed tools is Unmentionwhich allows users to leave conversations in which they have been mentioned, but which they do not want to be part of.

On the other hand, Twitter has recalled that it is currently available on the web version of the service an option to remove followers from an account without the need to block them.
