VIDEO. Oreo, Granola, Mikado… why you will be deprived of these cookies

by time news

Oreo, Pepito, Petit Écolier, Mikado, Granola, Pim’s… Be careful, if you like these cakes, you’re going to have to do without them, because they could soon disappear from the shelves soon. These products are the property of the Mondelez food group. The problem is that its chocolate supplier, based in Belgium, is shut down. The reason: salmonella was detected there. The company can therefore no longer deliver goods for the time being. As a reminder, salmonella is a bacterium that can, in rare cases, be fatal. A few months ago, at least 81 people were poisoned after consuming Kinder products. But according to Mondelez, none of their products available on the shelves would be affected. The group explained that it was carrying out a “complete audit of its production sites where this affected mass of chocolate was delivered”. He hopes “a resumption of production in the coming weeks”. You will have to take your troubles patiently until then.
