Coimbatore: The students participated enthusiastically in the hockey tournament for Sakodaya schools and showed their skills. On behalf of Sakodaya School Complex and Sukuna Phipps School, Coimbatore, a district level hockey tournament for school students was held at Sukuna Phipps School Ground, Nehrunagar. In this, competitions were held in three age groups namely 14, 16 and 19. In this, 170 students participated.

* In the under-14 quarter-final, Adhyayana School defeated SSVM World School by 1-0; In the 2nd match, Jayendra School beat Suguna Phipps School by 5-1.* In the Under-17 quarter-final, Vidyavikas School beat Mettupalayam SSVM by 3-1; In the 2nd match, SSVM, World School beat Sukuna Phipps School by 3-1.* In the Under-19 quarter-final, Mettupalayam SSVM beat School, 2-1. Advait School team with a score of ; In the 2nd match, SSVM, World School team beat Suguna Phipps School team by 4-1. The winning teams qualified for the semi-finals.
