The Telugu Film Board of Trade has taken many drastic decisions including that the cost of the assistants of actors and actresses should be borne by the actors and actresses themselves.
The producers of Telugu films have stopped the shooting of Telugu films since August 1, insisting that the actors reduce their salaries. It is said that the negotiations in this regard have reached an amicable conclusion. With the shooting to begin in a few days, the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce has issued a statement.
In that, the cost of assistants of actors and actresses should be paid by the actors and actresses themselves. Producer will not bear the expenses of actors, actresses, assistants of technicians. Likewise, actors and actresses will be paid on a per-film basis, abandoning the system of daily account salary.
Call sheet per film will be changed from 8 hours to 12 hours. A film should be released on OTT within 8 weeks of its theatrical release. These decisions will be effective from September 10,” it said.
