Thiruvananthapuram> BJP state president K Surendran’s son has been illegally appointed in a central government institution (Rajiv Gandhi Biotechnology Centre). The appointment was being made to a specially created vacancy with BTech as the basic qualification. Even after months of examination, RGCB did not provide accurate information when seeking information about the appointment, said other candidates who participated.

The examination process was completed in a hurry in two days. Harikrishnan K.S. was appointed in the list of four who participated in the lab examination. Candidates say that the institute is not ready to tell about the rank list or the next steps despite inquiries from other students who appeared for the exam. Contacted in person and via email, no response.

The investigation revealed that Harikrishnan KS was appointed by the RGCB in the month of June. During the training period, the basic salary is up to Rs.70,000. Currently, Harikrishnan has been sent to a technical institute in Delhi for expert training. Meanwhile, the RGCB explained that the appointment was made on the basis of merit following all the rules
