Guests leave “bodies” in the hotel rooms – this is the response of the employees

by time news

In his viral clip that has gained over 41 million views, a young man from Denmark is seen arranging the sheets of the bed in the hotel room in such a way that they look like a human. The surfers may have been amused, but the housekeeping staff at the hotel were not amused at all.

18-year-old George Federspiel from Copenhagen, Denmark, posted a popular prank video that has garnered about 41.6 million views on the social media site TikTok. The young man has 22 thousand followers and often shares football-themed clips. Last month, he uploaded a video that showed him making the bed in the hotel room he was staying in, shaping the blanket and pillow into the image of a human corpse.

He placed pillows on top of each other along with the blanket, then covered them with another sheet and wrapped the telephone cord around what was supposed to be the “corpse’s” neck. They created another character and published the prank under the title: “How we leave the hotel”. The young man and his friend turned off the lights and left the room when it looked like two people were hidden under the sheets.

The Featherspiel trend started running online and dozens of teenagers posted photos of themselves doing similar pranks. At the same time, hundreds of hotel employees came out with requests not to copy the silly prank and claimed that the 18-year-old only made them work harder.

One woman said: “I manage the housekeeping department in a hotel. Stop doing that, it’s unnecessary and not funny at all, it only burdens us even more at work.” Another wrote to her: “Complete disrespect towards the hotel employees.” A third added: “I really hope they will be fined for this. There was one guest who made such a figure and hung it on the ceiling lamp.”
