The current Vice President of Argentina is Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner. She is the oldest female political leader and has served as the President of Argentina for 2 times from 2007 to 2015. During this tenure, he has been accused of mishandling government funds and is being investigated for corruption.

If the charges against him are proved in this case, he is likely to be sentenced to 12 years in prison and banned from politics for life. However, Christina categorically denies the corruption allegations against her.

In this situation, the day before yesterday, Christina appeared in court for the investigation of this corruption case and returned to her home in the capital, Buenos Aires. Then hundreds of his supporters gathered in front of the house to welcome him. Christina was greeted by her supporters as she got out of the car.

Then a person in the crowd suddenly brought a gun near Christina’s face and tried to shoot. But luckily the gun was not working at that time. As a result, Christina survived the thread. Subsequently, Christina’s bodyguards and supporters wrapped up the man who could be shot and handed him over to the police.

Police said that the arrested person is a 35-year-old man from Brazil and they are actively investigating him regarding the background of the incident.

The country’s President Alberto Fernandez, who has strongly condemned the incident of trying to kill the Vice President, announced a 1-day national holiday to express their solidarity with Vice President Cristina.

Meanwhile, the video of the Vice President trying to kill Christina with a gun is going viral on social media.

It is noteworthy that recently the former Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe, was shot dead while participating in the election campaign.
