Tirupur: The Tirupur Rising Owners’ Association has appealed to Union Minister Murugan regarding various demands including ‘pipe line’ gas distribution, new power stations. The details of the petition submitted by Union Minister Ramasamy, Secretary Jayakumar, Treasurer Subramaniam and administrators to Union Union Minister Murugan who came to Tirupur yesterday: Zero discharge practice by dye plants is costly. The Central and State Governments should accept this as their responsibility and collect minimum fees. Implementation of pipeline gas distribution scheme will reduce the cost of fuel and avoid felling of trees. Export of cotton and wool should be controlled and price rise should be controlled. Road facility should be established in Tirupur according to industrial development. The petition contains various demands, including the need to set up new power stations amid the increasing demand for electricity.
