The sixth round in the French league will come to an end this evening (Sunday) with the derby between Nice and Monaco, when in the afternoon game Lille made a turnaround and beat Montpellier 1:3 away. Lance missed an opportunity to cling to the lead with 1:1 at Reims.
Nice – Monaco 1:0
The host fans are not really enjoying themselves this season, when after the home defeat in the derby against Marseille, another regional rival came and took the three points at Allianz Riviera. Gatent Labourd, the new acquisition from Rennes, started for the first time alongside his former Montpellier partner Andy Delor, but neither they nor Nicolas Pepe got close to the goal and it was precisely the veteran Dante who was stopped by Alexander Noble. On the other hand, Alexander Golobin was stopped by the crossbar, Yussuf Popana’s goal was disallowed (66) and after three minutes Kayo Henrique Gabbia and Berel Embolo scored the winning goal. Monaco returns to win for the first time since the opening round.
Montpellier – Lille 3:1
