BOLZANO. Second consecutive victory for the HCB Alto Adige Alperia, which at Palaonda beats the Hydro Fehervar AV19 by 3 to 2. The Foxes recovered in the third half, thanks to goals from Mizzi, Miceli and Findlay. Three gold points, which allow the red and white to move to seventh in the standings at 21 points, the same as Znojmo, sixth.

Very low rhythms in the first few minutes, with Bolzano trying to make itself heard in the Kornakker area with a solitary incursion by Bernard. The red and white try to change the pace in the middle period, creating more offensive play volume, but without bothering Kornakker. Lowe and Frigo try, but the clearest opportunity is on Pitschieler’s cue, which he receives from Frank and calls the Hungarian goalie to the big parade. Few rings in the middle period and result nailed to 0-1.
In the third drittel the Foxes finally manage to give another face to the race. At 43:18 Mizzi collects a rebound granted by Kornakker and bags the equalizer. Shortly after the red and white can juggle in powerplay and at 48:34 the overtaking arrives: nice disco lap from Bernard, to Frigo, to Miceli, who from two steps invents a great play by hitting the right opening at the intersection of the posts. The Foxes insist and 68 seconds later put the trio, thanks to Findlay who takes advantage of a stray puck, takes aim and electrocutes Kornakker. The Fehervar, with just 10 strikers on the roster, seems to have no more, but tries and first hits the post with Erdely, then tries the assault with the sixth man of movement: 16 seconds from the siren Shaw shortens the distance by deflecting into the net Atkinson’s shot, but it’s too late. The three points are red and white.
Bernard and his teammates will return to the Palaonda ice on Sunday 31 October, at 18:00, for the big match against EC KAC.
