Carey doesn’t get involved in all the films he’s acting in, assuming he’s the director: Basil Joseph
Basil Joseph says that he doesn’t interfere in the direction of all the films he acts in, thinking that he is a director. Basil was speaking in an interview given to Mathrubhumi along with actress Unnimaya Prasad.
Basil says that he does not interfere in the direction or making of the films in which he is acting. Basil said that he is not interested in doing anything personally and only gets involved if he asks for any opinion here.
Basil said that he makes some comments while listening to the script, and his feedback and problems are shared as part of the discussion. Basil says that sometimes the directors themselves come here and ask for many things and opinions, and then they say what they know.
“I personally don’t try to interfere in the creative process of the films I am going to act in. Some feedback and things are said while listening to the script. Participates in all its discussions. Otherwise, even in the middle of shooting, if you come here and ask for any things or comments, I will tell you.’
Almost all directors come with an understanding of film. Basil says that we do not want to confuse them by telling them many things. Basil says that he tries to avoid such things because he has worked as a director and had to face such experiences.
‘The directors will come with precise clarity and well-conceived film. It is not a case that I am interested in saying that after we read the script, we go to the location and confuse them by saying a lot. I try to avoid that as much as possible because I have to sit in the chair as a director and face such experiences.’
Basil says that every director works in a different way and Sangeeth, the director of his new film Paltu Janwar, is a different person. Basil says that every director follows a different approach, which helps him learn a lot.
