The theater series of the Givatayim Theater will be pure comedies this year: “The Comedians”, by Neil Simon, starring Moni Moshunov and Shlomo Baraba; “Freediving”, starring Liora Rivlin and Tzipi Shavit; “Dinner with an idiot”, with Avi Dangor and Naomi Levov, and “Berlin”, with the participation of Gila Almagor and Yigal Adika.

As every year, the singer Ilana Katz will lead the singer series, together with the pianist Kobi Meshal. The theater clarified that at each event in the series there will be two shows, one by Ilana Katz and the other by a guest artist, including Ilanit, Hani Levana, and Shlomit Aharon. The Jerusalem East West Orchestra, conducted by Tom Cohen, will return for another season of shows, and this year they will host Nasrin Kadri, the Greek singer Glikaria and the Israel Prize winner, composer Aviahu Medina.

In the children’s series this year there will be shows that combine other arts, such as dance, music and video art, including “VENTO” from the creator of the artist Ilan Azriel – a multimedia show that combines dozens of giant fans, blowing wind from recycled plastic materials, thus creating giant characters, never before seen on stage. Among the children’s shows will be “Beauty and the Beast” by the Orna Forat Theater, in collaboration with the Fresco dance troupe – a spectacular stage adaptation of the famous fairy tale; The musical show “The Adventures of Yenz Levy”, with the participation of the writer and his famous characters, including David Aryeh, Saba Eliyahu and more.

Philosopher and mathematician Dr. Haim Shapira will also return with new lectures, dealing with questions related to the issues of life, and will wonder together with the audience about the meaning of happiness, love, wisdom and peace. The entertainment experience in the theater will be completed by the high-quality Lola Cafe, and the rotating exhibitions of the treasures of the artist Doron Polak.
