Dubai; Applications for five-year green visa and one-year remote work visa have been accepted online from today. The authorities have come up with a comprehensive overhaul of the UAE’s visa rules. More relaxations have been allowed in the case of Golden Visa as well.
A Green Visa allows you to work and live in the UAE for up to five years without a sponsor or employer. The five-year green visa is mainly for self-employment, freelance work and skilled workers. A one-year remote work visa is for living in Dubai and working in another country.
Skilled workers need at least a bachelor’s degree to get a green visa. Minimum salary of 15,000 dirhams per month. To obtain a self-employment visa, one must obtain a special permission from the Ministry of Labour, must have a degree or diploma, and must have earned at least 3,60,000 dirhams in the previous year.
