Innovation Girl Scheme: 3,596 students benefited Dinamalar

Coimbatore: In Coimbatore district, 3,596 students are benefiting from the Budumai Pen program. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin inaugurated the ‘Pudumai Pen’ program yesterday through a video from Chennai on behalf of the Department of Social Welfare and Women’s Rights. As a part of this, Tamil Nadu Power Minister Senthil Balaji gave a monthly scholarship of Rs 1,000 to female students studying higher education at the Muvallar Ramamirtham Ammaiyar memorial higher education assurance program held at the Coimbatore Agricultural University. 620 students have been given credit cards (debit cards) for assistance. In this scheme, 3,596 female students belonging to 199 colleges in Coimbatore district will be given monthly scholarship of Rs.1,000. Collector Sameeran, MP, Natarajan, Mayor Kalpana, Deputy Mayor Vethichelvan, former Minister Pongalur Palanichamy and others participated.
