Based on UK peak electricity prices capped at 52p kWh. This means that the Xbox Series X’s power bill (in standby mode) is around £59.16 per year when set to Instant-On while Power Saver is set. At boot time it costs only £2.40 a year on electricity.

Back in March 2022, Microsoft confirmed that all Xbox models from that time on. The unit will default to all power saving mode on. This means that in order to use Instant-On mode, the user must manually change the settings after turning on the device for the first time.
