A significant strengthening of the Otzma Yehudit party and the united list of religious Zionism and Otzma Yehudit: Brigadier General Zvika Vogel, a member of the Security Forum and a resident of the Jordan Guard, joins the party.
Vogel is known for his determined opinions to bring about a decision in Gaza, against Hezbollah and to achieve a clear decision of the terrorist organizations.
Brigadier General Fogel, will be placed in the list for the Knesset, in fifth place in Otzma Yehudit – tenth place in the unified list.
Vogel, 65 years old, married + 3 and father of four, resident of Mishmar Jordan (Atzva HaGalil), former resident of the Negev. Served as Chief of Staff of the Southern Command, and Commander of the Fire Center of the Southern Command during “Cast Lead” and “Pillar of Enan”. Currently writing a research proposal for a doctorate, and as of today – candidate number 5 on the Otzma Yehudit list for the Knesset, who will be placed as mentioned in tenth place on the unified list.
Brigadier General (Reserves) Fogel commanded the “David Sling” precision fire brigade and more in the past, and retired from the military in 2003. He holds a master’s degree in organizational behavior, a former member of the Beer Sheva Municipality Council and the appointed head of the council in Toba-Zangaria. Organizational consultant for various authorities and organizations various and director of a college for high-tech professions.
Fogel was born in Be’er Sheva, and studied at Beit Yarah High School. Enlisted in a pilot course in 1975 and after dropping out of it he moved to the artillery corps where he served as an officer. After he was released, he turned to law school, but returned to permanent service in 1981.
The chairman of Otzma Yehudit, MK Itamar Ben Gvir, welcomed Fogel’s joining and said: “Zvika fought all his life for the state and now he will fight for the people of Israel in the Knesset, an Israeli patriot. He is a true warrior, penetrated by mission and has a lot of security experience, he is a huge asset to the people of Israel and to Jewish power.
I have followed Vogel during all the last years, his positions to defeat terrorism in the north and south and to apply sovereignty and governance to all parts of the State of Israel are consistent with the ideological platform of Otzma Yehudit and our perception that it is time to be the owners of the country. I wish Zvika great success and fruitful work for our people and our country.”
