Three days of art celebration
The “Color in the City 3” art festival will open tonight at the artists’ house in the city. What events are you expecting?

The municipality of Kfar Saba opens this evening (Thursday), through the Society for Leisure Culture, the art festival “Color in the City 3” at the Artists’ House on 4 Geller Street. The opening event, which will be launched at the “Absent Present” exhibition at the Artists’ House, will be attended by Mayor Rafi Sa’ar, Adi Levy Scope, a member of the city council and holder of the culture portfolio, representatives of the municipal society for leisure culture, members of the association “Oman in his city” and the chairman of the association Teresa Horin Kargola, artists and artisans and the curator Ilan Beck, when the “Color in the City” art festival will last for 3 days between the dates of September 8-10 (Thursday to Saturday), at the Artisan House under the leadership of the Department of Culture and Society for Leisure Culture.

Below is the expected schedule of the festival:

September 8- between the hours of 18:00-22:00; Starting at 18:00 in the evening, the audience will be able to enjoy stalls selling handicrafts, a complex for making juggling balls, a coffee cart and seating tables, and a musical performance by Daniel Solomon and Dana Adini.

At 19:00, as mentioned, the opening event of the festival will be held at the exhibition “Absent Present”, which will be held in the presence of the mayor and other dignitaries. The works in the exhibition will deal with different types of separation and will be presented by many artists and they are: Liora Avni, Tamar Alt, Aryeh Oren, Uri Beit Or, Vared Brodner, Varda Bar Nir, Gilat Gor-Aryeh Greenberg, Edna Dali, Bat Sheva Haas, Niva Harsgur Hendin, Michal Zahavi, Nitza Lauper, Naomi Linzen, Moriah Mor, Tzipi Neuman, Shuki Ezra, Ruth Kadri, Chaya Rosenblatt, Yossi Raz, Zvi Reichwerger, Edna Ra’anan and Gideon Shani. The exhibition curated by Ilan Bek, the association ‘Aman in his city’. On Saturday, 09/24 at 11:00, there will be a gallery talk with curator Ilan Beck and the artists. The exhibition will be shown on the date 01/10 and its opening hours and days are: Friday 10:00 – 13:00, Saturday 10:00 – 14:00, Saturday 17:00 – 19:00.

At 20:30 there will be a performance by Dana Adini and Daniel Salomon, who will sing love duets. The show is expected to end at 22:00.

September 9, between the hours of 10:00 – 15:00; Between the hours of 10:00-11:30 there will be a lecture on: art, women and gender. And then, between the hours of 12:00 – 15:00, painting and model sculpting workshops will be held in the artists’ house.

September 10, between the hours of 09:00 – 13:30; MAt 09:00 there will be a multitude of art workshops suitable as an activity for the whole family at the artists’ house, including graffiti, material sculpture, collage portraiture, creation in nature, water colors, fabric weaving and more. The workshops will be available for the benefit of the resident public until 1:30 p.m. At the same time, between 10:00 – 11:00 a children’s show called “Perla’s Picnic” will be shown and between 11:30 – 13:00 a story and a work called “Scrabbled Shucks” is expected. Throughout the day, booths for the sale of handicrafts and a coffee cart will be available for the welfare of the guests.
