Shortly before his address to the nation last night, the King Charles III said in his first meeting with the British Prime Minister Liz Terrace Because his mother’s death is “the moment he feared”. The two spoke briefly by phone after the death of Queen Elizabeth II, but this is the first time they have met face to face at Buckingham Palace, just three days after Taras was appointed to a terrace with his late mother at Balmoral Castle upon taking office as Prime Minister.
In his speech last night, the new king commented that he will continue his mother’s legacy: “I pledge that, as long as God allows me, that wherever you live around the world and regardless of your background and beliefs, I will try to serve you with loyalty, respect and love. My life will surely change.”
Today (Saturday) the official coronation of the King took place at St. James’s Palace in London, even though he actually took office the day before yesterday. This, when the Coronation “Council” will meet and give Charles III the new title.
