Manama: The country’s parliamentary elections will be held on November 12. King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued an order in this regard. Candidates can submit nomination papers from October 5 to 9. Elections to the municipalities in North, South and Muharraq governorate limits will also be held on November 12. Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure Development, issued the cabinet order regarding the municipal elections.
Candidates contesting for municipal councils can also submit nomination papers from October 5 to 9. Voting will be held on November 12 from 8 am to 8 pm. If repolling is required, it will be held on November 19. Voting for those abroad will be held on November 8 at the Bahrain Embassy, Consulate and Diplomatic Mission in their respective countries.
