The factions in the joint list signed an agreement – they will not recommend any candidate

by time news

After days of stretching: Last night (Friday) an agreement was signed between Hadash and Balad – in preparation for a joint run. The Central Committee of the Ta’al Party headed by MK Ahmed Tibi will gather tonight in Taiba to discuss developments.

In the principles of the agreement signed between the factions, it was determined that the joint faction is not part of any bloc, since it cannot be part of a coalition that promotes “policies of occupation and racism”.

It also appears that the list will recommend a prime minister only with a commitment to the following conditions: “pursuit of negotiations to end the occupation and the establishment of a Palestinian state alongside Israel, cessation/end of all racist policies, including first and foremost the nationality law.” It is further claimed that as of this time, there is no political figure in the political map and in the 25th Knesset who identifies with the conditions and goals of the joint list in order for there to be a recommendation.

Also, according to the agreement, if Ta’al also joins and the joint venture runs as in the previous format with Hadash and Balad – Balad will get the second and sixth places. But if Ta’al does not join, Balad will get the second and fifth places – when the second one is Sami Abu Shahada And the fifth will be the former MK Matans Shahada.
