Ajay Kumar, 36, a resident of Hanumagiri, Bangalore, works in a private company. Looking for a woman for marriage, he registered his photo and details on a matrimonial website on August 29. A few days ago, a young woman from the northern state contacted Ajay Kumar. Got his mobile number. Both became close. The girl convinced him to agree to the marriage. Ajay Kumar was mesmerized by his attractive speech and asked for some money. Ajay Kumar also paid into his said bank account. On meeting in person, he assured to return the money. Gradually he received 9.95 lakh rupees. After that he cut the mobile connection. Realizing that he was cheated, Ajay Kumar lodged a complaint with the cyber crime police. Police are also investigating.
