The movie Mantrikam and Captain Stephen Ronald are still a charm for Malayalees. Mantrikam was one of Mohanlal’s super action films released in 1995. Priya Raman, Vineeta and Mitra Joshi were the heroines. Jagadish, Raghuvaran and Rajan P Dev played the lead roles in the film which was a super hit at that time. Production controller Rajan Poojapura shares his memories about the film.
‘The island scenes of Mantrikam were shot in Pondicherry. Mohanlal acted all the fights of Mantrikam without a dupe. Super Subbarayan was the fight master. Even when Subbarayan said that he would do the dupe, it was Laletan who did not agree.
